Farewell Secretary Angelo Reyes

Amidst the controversial issue of massive corruption in the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the death of former DND Secretary Angelo Reyes last February 8 indeed puzzled many Filipinos. Why a certain bemedaled general decided to take his own life? That is one question that can only be best answered by the late secretary.

I would have understand the deep sadness and mourning of his family after hearing news that he chose to end his life rather than to divulge what he knew and the persons involved in the corruption issue. Losing a love one is so painful.

I only pray for truth to come out in the end of this issue. May other people being involved in the issue have the courage to face the truth because the truth will always haunt them, and saying the truth is the only way that will set them free.
