Sagip Kapamilya

President Benigno Aquino III will visit 3 provinces on Wednesday to survey the damage brought by typhoons "Pedring" and "Quiel." Several criticisms were hurled against President Aquino for being "missing in action" as the 2 typhoons battered Luzon. The president wants to personally survey the damage wrecked by the typhoons in the provinces.

Sagip Kapamilya is the emergency humanitarian assistance program of ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc who always immediately give help to our fellow Filipinos by providing food and non-food relief to affected communities of disasters, as well as engage in rehabilitation and disaster risk reduction projects. Brangelina donates $1million to Haiti

In connection with the recent horrific earthquake that devastated Haiti, the famous and always controversial couple BRANGELINA, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, donates $1million for the emergency medical operations in Haiti. Said funds coming from the Jolie-Pitt Foundation will be donated to Doctors without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres whose three hospitals in Port-au-Prince were severely damaged.

May those fortunate people out there follow the good deed of this couple and for others who cannot donate prayer is the best we could offer.

LeapFish & Make-A-Wish @ Jacob

Hello blogosphere! This post is for those who have a Twitter account out there to tweet for a cause. I got an email from LeapFish regarding this Tweet-A-Cause for Make-A-Wish foundation.

A four year old boy Jacob has Atresia. It is a rare and life threatening disease that has affected him since birth. For each tweet it will generate a $0.05 cent donation from LeapFish that will eventually help Greater Bay Area Make-A-Wish foundation raise $10k to send Jacob and his family to Disneyland for a week.
Let us all help to grant Jacob his wish and makes him happy. Who knows? Maybe if we all help Jacob’s wish come true and makes him so happy miracle will happen. This is one tweet worth doing for.

Let us all pray that God’s miraculous and healing hands is upon Jacob to receive complete healing.

This worthy endeavor will be the first and be done yearly as a social responsibility of Splash Island Global Gutz Park Philippines to treat special children for a one whole day of memorable experience. Among the other sponsors for this event are CEBU PACIFIC AIRLINES, JG SUMMIT, DUTY FREE PHILIPPINES, SKAL and MANILA INTERNATIIONAL AIRPORT AUTHORITY.

Filipino-Japanese Foundation

I met Japanese friends through my youngest sister who are directly involved in running a Filipino-Japanese Foundation which deals in the repatriation of Filipino/Japanese descendants of Pre-War and Post War of World War II. They are holding their office in Makati City and active also in various medical missions in the Philippines.

If you have Japanese ancestry and your family is registered in the Kosekitohon then you are qualified to be a member and avail of the services and benefits the foundation is offering. Trainings and seminars are being extended to qualified members so they can work in Japan through their Japanese Sponsor Companies.

I am interested to know the details of the foundation to help those Filipinos who have Japanese ancestry and could possibly work in Japan and who knows you might be recognized by their Japanese father or mother. So till my next post for this foundation.
