About US credit reports

In the U.S., there are three different credit reporting bureaus. It’s important to order a copy of your credit report at least once a year from all three bureaus to ensure that everything is up to date and that your credit report doesn’t contain any errors. Additionally, if you have been denied credit, you’re entitled to receive a free copy of your credit report.

However, once you receive your credit reports, they can seem as though they’re written in a foreign language. Fortunately, there are many resources to help. There are numerous websites that tell you how to read reports, and if you’re working with a credit counseling agency, they can also help you. If you obtain your credit report online, there is often a ‘sample’ credit report that shows how the report is designed.

Importance of a consolidation loan

Loans are the most common concern not only among businesses but in every ordinary household. Now that the world is experiencing an economic turmoil, it adds on the burden of people especially in dealing with their finances. At the end of every day we are still trap to think of how we can move on and deal with our obligations religiously.

Credit card debt is one of the most common indebtedness most of the people are in right now. Actually I am one of those but it is not because of my luxurious lifestyle or extravagant purchases. It is because I used the money card as additional capital for my parents’ business and we pay thru the income generated from the business. There was an instance where my several credit cards’ balances simultaneously went up but I was able to manage it by consolidating everything. We can not get over it if we just pay the minimum amount due. The outstanding balance will continue to blow until we find the best remedy. Based on my experience consolidation loan was the answer. By consolidating all the loans and get one loan to pay for those will enable us to handle our obligations with more convenience, lesser pressure, lower interest rate and minimal accounts to handle.

Banks are providing also their card holders a more convenient way to settle their balances. One effective and simplest way is the inter-banks’ Balance Transfer. If you find a hard time getting a bank loan then this transfer will be a big help.

There are other loans some or most of us are dealing simultaneously like student loan and car loan but the bottom line is how we can deal with them in a more reasonable, logical and best possible way.

3 rural banks declared holiday

The bank holiday declaration of 3 rural banks came to a surprise from its disgruntled depositors. The Pilipino Rural Bank in (PRB) in Mandaue City, Philippine Countryside Rural Bank (PCRB) in Consolacion and the Rural Bank of ParaƱaque simultaneously declared their respective holidays. The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) is now investigating the 3 banks on what caused the holiday. It also suspected that the 3 banks are being owned by same person and that it maybe involved in a sort of pyramiding scam.

I really can’t help but pity those depositors who now may find a hard time getting back their hard earned money especially now that holidays is nearing. If ever those depositors will be able to get hold of their monies again with the help of Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) I guess the process will not be that easy and fast. In this kind of occurrence, the government may find it hard to convince people to save to rural banks in fear of what happened.

Benefits of Balance Transfer

Sometimes, credit card holders forget to monitor their purchases and charges against their cards that resulted to huge outstanding balances. The 3.5% monthly interest is the usual charges of these credit card providers and having higher balance will only leave you paying only for the interest alone and small or even none for the principal. In this scenario, Balance Transfer will be very beneficial for the card holder to take. With this promo, you can be able to pay a large or maybe in full your outstanding balance and you only need to pay for a much lower monthly payment for the transfer. The interest rate is also very low ranging from 0.70% to a maximum of 1.67% per month as compared to 3.5% usual charge of credit card companies. Actually, some banks are even giving FREE ITEMS upon approval of your Balance Transfer Application.

I am clueless before about this Balance Transfer promo but when I knew about it I know what to do at times our balances rise up. Actually, I just recently get approved for a Balance Transfer from East West Bank and I am expecting our Nintendo DS Lite as the freebie for their promo. You can check the promo here. This is the credit card of hubby but exclusively use by my parents for their business.

Balance Transfer could also be an entry point to get hold of another credit card as long as you are in good credit standing with your old card/s.

Business Loans

The effect of the global financial crisis is being felt gradually in the prices of basic commodities, the weakening value of Peso and worst the possibility of having our beloved OFWs’ return to Philippines because of retrenchment.

Experts’ advice OFWs to establish businesses to at least have a source of income upon return here in the Philippines. Even after long years of hard work, not all OFWs have the enough capital to start with. Among the available options are loans from established banks like Citibank, BPI, SCB, PSBank, Chinatrust, China Bank, RCBC, Metrobank, BDO, East West Bank, UCPB, Planters Bank, Premiere Bank, Sterling Bank, GE, and more. Likewise, there are also small micro-financing corporations who are in the rescue to lend individuals who find a hard time getting a loan from banks, and there are also cooperatives.

Establishing a business is not that easy but creating small businesses will help the Philippines to surpass the current global financial crisis, in a way. I just hope that banks, cooperatives and other lending institutions will make their own ways to extend helping hands to entrepreneurs who are in need of capital to help the country in good shape financially.

Lehman Brothers Bankruptcy

In the news was the filing for bankruptcy of the renowned and long-established financial institution in America, the Lehman Brothers. It is a 158 year old company that survived world wars, the Asian financial crisis and the collapse of hedge fund Long-Term Capital Management, but not the global credit crunch?

Sunlife, Metrobank and Banco de Oro are just some of the Philippine companies that had investment with Lehman Brothers, as mentioned in the news, and I hope that it will not affect the Philippine economy badly. I guess there might be more big companies worldwide that might have invested with them so let’s pray that everything ends well for these companies and their valued clients. God bless the earth ♥♥♥
