Praybeyt Benjamin beats No Other Woman???

Can Praybeyt Benjamin become the first Filipino movie to hit the P300 million mark?

“Praybeyt Benjamin” is set to break the box-office record of “No Other Woman” by virtue of its P200 million gross on its first 8 days of screening! According to Star Cinema, Vice Ganda‘s “Praybeyt Benjamin” has raked in P200-million in ticket sales from its opening day last October 26 up to November 2, 2011 (8 days).

Given that box-office gross in just 8 days, the movie is expected to surpass the earnings received by another Star Cinema-Viva Films co-production–”No Other Woman”– which registered the record-breaking P267.1 million ticket sales in 4 weeks.

Catch Me.. I'm Falling music video

I have seen the movie teaser of “Catch Me.. I’m Falling” of Gerald Anderson and Sarah Geronimo and I expect this will be a hit. This highly anticipated Viva Films and Star Cinema movie is scheduled on March 23 and moviegoers will have a taste again of a love story with a mixture of romance, joy and sadness. “Fallin” is the theme song of the movie and Sarah interpreted the song and the music video was shot in Manila Flower Center.

Grab a copy of your "The Squeakquel"

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Alvin and the Chipmunks. All opinions are 100% mine.

When my kids watch Alvin, Simon and Theodore’s movie, Alvin and the Chipmunks, it was a time of fun and laughter. They got to enjoy the whole movie especially the naughtiness of the three chipmunks. My boy loves Alvin because like Alvin he is kind of naughty too. While for my daughter she finds Theodore very sweet and loving. They got to understand that sometimes misunderstanding happens in a family but at the end of it is a family embracing each other, loving and protecting one another and reconciling their differences.

We watched “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel” in the big screen and as expected the fun, laughter and complications doubled with the presence of “The Chipettes.” More songs and moves with the addition of competition that turned out fine in the end.

“The Squeakquel “ is now available on DVD, Blu-ray and Digital Download so watching it over and over again in the comfort of our homes is now possible. Another thing is that they are offering a Double DVD Pack wherein aside from the movie disc you will get “The Squeakquel Along” bonus disc with more music, mayhem and all-new singalongs for a price of one. Such a buy kids will truly love. So hurry buy it now.

Also kids can check out http://www.munkyourself.com and get to play and enjoy the three easy steps and “munk” themselves: choose a character, dress-up and record a voice message. In addition you can also visit http://www.foxfamilyflicks.com for More Munk Mayhem.

Family will watch a MMFF entry

While busy with the chores, my daughter asked me if we could watch Shake, Rattle & Roll X. It was one of the entries in the 34th Metro Manila Film Festival which is a comedy-horror film comprising of 3 stories. It has been her request to watch in a theater since the showing of High Musical 3. We were not able to do it so we decided to watch after Christmas.

Actually, hubby and I are not fond of going into movie theaters but it would be kind of unfair if we will deprive the kids to experience it so we scheduled the viewing tomorrow, Sunday after the mass in SM Marikina. The kids are so excited about it but I am quite curious if they can bear to stay long watching a horror movie, LOL. They get easily scared and I am thinking of the possibility of them asking to leave the theater.

It has been several years already since my last visit in a movie house so it is gonna be like my first time again just like my kids, hehehe! I usually stuck at home busy doing the chores and taking care of the kids and hubby so I just enjoy watching movies on TV. I think it will be an exciting one especially when kids started to scream.

KC Concepcion & Richard Gutierrez's movie For the First Time

The premiere night of the movie “For The First Time” starring KC Concepcion and Richard Gutierrez directed by Ms. Joyce Bernal was held last August 26 at SM Megamall’s Cinemas 9 and 10 in Ortigas was a big success. As expected coz the 2 main stars of this movie are among the famous and much celebrated stars in the Philippines not only in their own self but being a daughter of premiere actress like Sharon Cuneta for KC and having a controversial and terror-like mom Anabelle Rama for Richard.

It was the first film for KC after living solely in London and finished her studies and the first movie for Richard in ABS CBN’s movie outfit Star Cinema. Good that Richard was able to jump over for a while to do a movie outside his GMA Network family and do it on its rival network, the ABS CBN Network.

I have seen several teasers/trailers of the movie and it is kind of a different love story between 2 opposite persons and how they fall in love with each other out of it with inputs on some family issues that will surely add conflicts on the love and struggles of the 2 main characters. Congrats to the cast, staff & crew, Star Cinema and of course to my beloved ABS CBN Network.

High School Musical 3: Senior Year

High School Musical 3: Senior Year continues the ongoing tune-filled love story between basketball player Troy Bolton (Zac Efron) and brainy beauty Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Anne Hudgens). As they head toward high-school graduation, the couple realizes that they'll be separated when they head to different colleges in the fall, so they join with their friends to produce a spring musical that will help them express their hopes and fears about the future.

The movie is set to be released this October in USA, directed by Kenny Ortega and starring the ever dashing Zac Efron, the sexy and controversial Fil-Am Vanessa Anne Hudgens and more.

I have seen HSM1 and HSM2 and can’t wait to watch this HSM3. I can’t remember anymore how many times me and my kids watched HSM1 & HSM2 and for sure they will be happy to know that the sequel will be out soon. Cheers HSM fans!!!

The Triumph: The Ron Clark Story

One of the movies I really like watching over and over again is “The Triumph”. A story of perseverance, passion and dedication of an educator who made a big twirl in the lives not only of his colleagues and parents but moreover of his students. Teacher Ron Clark (played by Matthew Perry) went through tough times to get his students out of trouble and take the right path.
I had a sister who happened to be a teacher too and I know the hardship and pressure of her work. Early in school, lesson plans, test papers, teaching materials, and what else? Ah yah not to forget the tough and hard-headed dude (students) in the school, hehehe! of course not all of them but most. LOL
But seriously speaking, if all professionals will be as dedicated and as persevered in their chosen career like Mr. Ron Clark I guess the world will be filled and evolved with great generations of individuals. Really an inspiring story and a must-see movie for all. Happy watching!!!
