Pacquiao amidst controversies of the Pacquiao-Marquez 3
The PACQUIAO-MARQUEZ 3 fever is still hot and getting hotter but I want to dedicate this article to the pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao.
I felt sad for Pacquiao. Yes it was true that his performance as seen by people around the world was not the performance his fans and expectators were expecting, but he said sorry for that. Was that not easy to understand for those people who got disappointed? Pacquiao is still human and had imperfections and shortcomings as such. He may get himself prepared for the fight but anything can happen during the fight. There were issues of failing to have his strength and conditioning exercise, foot cramps, personal issues, political parties, mafia, lifestyle, etc. Can we just help Pacquiao make realize his shortcomings as a boxer in a way he will understand it and uplift his morale. His performance may not be exemplary as compared to his previous fights but he gave what he can during the fight and he did not cheat to win. Grabbing the crown from the depending king is not easy. Marquez performance during the bout maybe considered up compared to Pacquiao but he failed to give and do more to ensure his winning.
Pacquiao was declared as the winner and retained his title. As a Filipino, we have to be proud of and celebrate amidst issues. We just not celebrate his winning because there is a knock-down or blood sprout from his opponent. The bout was a close fight and Pacquiao won, that’s I think the clear issue. But as to whether Pacquiao performed the way he performed on his previous fights is a different and separate issue.
If there is any good we can do for the pound-for-pound king is to pray for him that whatever happens in the recent bout will teach him a lesson and make him the best and wiser boxer.
Congratulations again Manny!!!

Was the recently concluded PACQUIAO-MARQUEZ 3 bout victimized Juan Manuel Marquez of another robbery of what he claimed victory over Manny Pacquiao?
Why another 4th installment? The 4th one will be the most exciting match to watch and will give burning pressure to the 2 fighters to push themselves to the limit for a knock-down. To Marquez, too early to quit and Pacquiao, you made Filipinos proud again. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Charice to sing national anthem on Pacquiao-Mosley bout
Charice will be singing the Philippine National Anthem in the Manny Pacquiao – Shane Mosley fight. The “Glee” star was personally chosen by Manny, according to Top Rank promotion. Also, American R&B singer and actor Tyrese will sing the Star Spangled banner on the said Saturday fight night of Pacquiao and Mosley. Will there be an issue again on how Charice will sing the national anthem? Well I guess that’s something the Filipinos and the National Historical Commission of the Philippines will be waiting for. Good luck Pacman!!!

Petitioners urged SC to stop RFID project
Various petitioners like Bayan Muna, Anakpawis, etc. urged the Supreme Court (SC) to stop RFID project and declare it unconstitutional which is set to be implemented on January 2010. Also, the groups are asking from SC to issue a TRO to the Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) and Land Transportation Office (LTO) to hinder the implementation of the said project.
Stradcom Corporation will supply the RFID tag which is intended to last for 10 years and cost a one-time fee of P350. There are various violations being pointed by the petitioners aside from the fact that there is no previous approval from NEDA for the said project. Some critics are claiming that this could be a source of corruption and that the objective of the project is unrealistic.

Nov. 15: Pacquiao vs. Cotto
The much awaited fight of Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao against the Puerto Rican champ Miguel Cotto is only 11 days from now. Both are in good shapes and well-prepared. Who will win the fight? Of course for Filipinos it will be Pacman but better to wait for the fight and watch what these 2 renowned boxers has to offer to boxing fanatics and who is who. Read here.
In relation to Pacman’s upcoming fight, congressmen are urged to skip watching live the said bout. Important bills are yet to pass (not possible without a quorum) and their constituents are still devasted and in dire need of their support especially for rehabilitation.
Sad to say that appeal like this has to be made to politicians in power. Well I guess due to old age of many they tend to forget that they are public servants and the Filipino people are their top priority. Do they need to get negative public opinion? If so, voters take note of those irresponsible and insensitive leaders. They do not deserve to be voted or re-elected. Don’t sell your votes. Vote wisely for your own sake.

Pacquiao wins over de la Hoya
The Dream Match is over and Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao won over the Golden Boy Oscar de la Hoya in this much celebrated and controversial fight. As expected, all Filipinos stay home to watch the fight and I guess even the law breakers because I heard no bad news today despite knowing that law enforcers are also watching, LOL. I watched the fight with hubby on TV even though we heard it live on radio while doing my chores in the kitchen.
Actually I am not a boxing fanatic but my interest emanates because hubby is a big fan of boxing. He was trained by my late father-in-law but I guess it’s not for him. We saw the event from the appearance of Karylle Tatlonghari who sang the national anthem up to the post fight. I bet those politicians are very happy not only because Pacman wins but also them, LOL. How much $$$? Let ask Chavit Singson.
The victory of Pacman proved the value and importance of one’s WILL. If the “will” is there we give our best to get there and probably that “will” must be in each and every Filipino people to overcome the problems of the country as one. For hours we tend to set aside for a while the problems of the country but after it is a big reality that as a country lies our big fight that we need to overcome and be victorious.

Pacquiao & De la Hoya fight: A mismatch???
Congressman Rufus Rodriguez and the Games and Amusement Board (GAB) expressed fear on Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and Oscar De la Hoya fight in December saying it was a mismatch. They are concerned with Pacman’s physical well-being considering the Golden Boy is much bigger and taller than the boxing Pinoy icon while others said other thing and that Pacman can win the fight.
Hubby liked watching boxing ever since and I’m sure he will not miss out this much talked about fight of Manny. Comparing the two icons, physical differences are there but both are needed to adjust on their respective weights and that adjustment will affect the performances of the two boxers. The age difference also is a consideration though favorable to Manny.
Forget about the contradictions and conformities. There are people who are against the fight and there are those who are excited about it. The 12-round welterweight fight (147 pounds) of the 2 great boxers is a go in
