Previously igniting the joy and faith of Filipinos nationwide in last year’s “Keso de Gallo,” Eden is back to once again bring the warmest and tastiest Yuletide tidings to everyone.

December of last year, Kraft Eden made the celebration of Misa de Gallo more memorable by going to nine different cities from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, in nine different churches with nine carefully selected Filipino recipes for nine mornings.

This year, they're making it even more special by inviting a hundred towns to participate in this season of giving and merrymaking. With 100 towns participating, 100 unique dishes will be showcased for 100 days to underscore the festive celebration of the season here in the Philippines. Being the world’s first longest Christmas celebration, this event pushes food tourism to a whole new level.

The Spirit of Christmas ignited as early as September 4 and kept alive until the first Sunday of January 2011, the country is sure to make a mark in Christmas history the world-around. Recipe contest for domestic, sustainable seafood recipes

One of the favorite dishes in the house is shrimp with coconut milk. Family members like shrimps so I invented different styles to cook it. Aside from what I mentioned earlier, I also tried the following: shrimps simmer with soda, salt and butter, shrimps in sour broth and garlic-buttered shrimps with broccolli. I am thinking and searching for shrimps’ recipes so my family could taste something different and a new presentation.

While browsing the web, I came across www.GreatAmericanSeafoodCookOff.com which showcases 5 stars chef and their domestic, sustainable seafood recipes. Among others, I found the Texas Gulf Shrimp recipe of Chef Mark Holley very delicious and appealing. Well of course aside from the shrimp, it incorporates delicious and nutritious ingredients like milk, egg, honey, and beans to name some. With all those ingredients and the garnishing, the presentation looks really perfect, I think this recipe of Chef Holley will make it on the top. The recipes made use of domestic ingredients so I think if I’m will make my own version of it I would replace some ingredients that are domestic in my location but somewhat similar on the looks and taste of that ingredients. The use of domestic seafood for our dishes brings about some benefits like it is fresh and has great taste, availability and storage.

By the way, the site features a recipe contest wherein you can vote for your favorite recipe and by doing that you will get a chance to win for a trip to New Orleans prize package. The trip includes two Southwest Airline roundtrip tickets, hotel accommodations, dining experiences and more. So what are you waiting for? Check those 5 sumptuous, delicious and splendid recipes prepared by well-known 5 starts chef during the cook off, cast your vote and get a chance to win the trip and fine dining experiences.
