Kris Aquino & James Yap compromised agreement

After the conference with Judge Christina Sulit, both celebrated ex-couple Kris Aquino and James Yap looked satisfied with the decision. They have come to a compromise for their son James "Bimby" Yap Jr. but due to court gag order details were not disclosed. An insider told ABS-CBN show "The Buzz" that one thing confirmed in the former couple's agreement is that James Yap will be paying for the education of their son. The source also divulged that Kris had been paying an international school of P700,000 per year for her son's education.

Maricel Soriano out in Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin

ABS-CBN Head of Corporate Communications Bong Osorio announced last Monday that returning Kapamilya star, veteran actress Maricel Soriano will no longer be part of the upcoming series “Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin” (I'll Love You Tomorrow).  What happened??? According to reports, Soriano shouted at the actor Gerald Anderson before walking out of the set after Anderson had a hard time with his line and that allegedly irritated the actress on their first day of taping.

The ABS-CBN management and the management of Maricel Soriano agreed mutually on removing the actress in the series. I am just curious why Gerald had hard time delivering his line, is he nervous or kind of troubled? Tsk! Tsk! Tsk!

Sarah: Calling Gerald Anderson a womanizer?

Was Sarah Geronimo implied that her former suitor actor Gerald Anderson is a “womanizer” last Sunday at “Sarah G Live?” She performed the Britney Spears song urging the viewers not to fall in love with womanizers. The singer-actress even asked her co-host Robi Domingo if he was a womanizer and the latter denied being one. At the end of the show, Sarah sang “Take a Bow,” a song about saying goodbye to a boyfriend who has taken his relationships for granted. Geronimo repeatedly apologized for her statements for misbehaving and being out of control.

Rayver-Cristine break up ; Gerald to court Maja

Both actor Rayver Cruz and Cristine Reyes appeared on “The Buzz” last January 13 to confirm their break up that happened last year ending media speculations about their relationship. They both agreed to keep silent about it since they started their relationship with a little bit odd, this time they wanted to end it silently. But the ex-couple admitted they are friends and they will be there for each other.

On the other hand, Gerald Anderson said in an interview with Boy Abunda that he will pursue courting Maja Salvador. Controversial remarks from his ex-girlfriend Kim Chiu about the rumored courtship prompted to different speculations about him. But he told Abunda that courting Maja is a personal decision.

When I learned from the news that Senator Chiz Escudero’s marriage was annulled, I was really surprised. Well I just can’t help but sadden about the annulment on the point of view of a wife. According to Senator Chiz they saw each other twice in a “meeting” but Heart said they went out twice. Hmmmmmm!!!

Paparazzi dispute heats up

A mother will always be a mother. Annabelle Rama warned “Paparazzi” host Cristy Fermin to keep quiet on the issue involving her daughter Ruffa Gutierrez happened in her birthday celebration on the said show. Fermin claimed that Ruffa was briefed by the staff on the interview segment “Bulong ng Palad.” On the other hand, Rama claimed that there will be questions but not to that extent.

Due to that, Rama confirmed that her daughter will not anymore appear on the said show but she will remain a “Kapatid.” Also, TV5 Network is currently having its own investigation in that matter.

Dolphy's medical condition

I heard yesterday night from the news that comedy king Dolphy is now in critical condition and cannot talk, according to his son Eric Quizon. It was also disclosed by Quizon that his father has been suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) which hinders the flow of air to lungs. It is a condition that said to be permanent and maybe progressive over time. Quizon also said that Dolphy’s illness has developed into a toxic metabolic encephalopathy which could lead to sepsis or poisoning of the blood. He was diagnosed five years ago of COPD.

 

Jessica Sanchez in the Philippines by September

In September this year, AI runner up Jessica Sanchez will visit her mother’s native country as the “American Idol LIVE! Tour” makes its Manila stop. Jessica will be performing at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on September 21 for the 2012 edition of the said tour as confirmed by Ovation Productions.

The 16-year-old Pinay pride will perform alongside the Top 10 contestants of the 11th season of "Idol," including current titleholder Phillip Phillips. The Philippines is the only country outside of North America that is included in the two-month tour, and is slated to be the finale show of the "Idol" finalists.

Last year, the Top 10 contestants of the 10th season of "Idol" visited the country for a two-night concert. Their tour stop in Manila was the finale show of their concert series.

 

President Aquino meets Jessica Sanchez in LA

President Noynoy Aquino and AI runner up Jessica Sanchez met in Los Angeles before the president deliver his speech to the Filipino community in Southern California. Also present in the occasion are Jessica’s family, Apl. De. Ap., Bernardo Bernardo and Oliver Tolentino together with other Filipinos who want to hear what President Aquino has to say. Tomorrow, Jessica will be singing the America’s national anthem in the Pacquiao-Bradley fight.

It’s over! It is officially in the news that the marriage of Kris Aquino to James Yap was annulled. The lack of authority of the solemnizing officer is the pertinent reason for the annulment. Kris is very generous to James about his visiting rights and James cooperated very well in the separation of properties. Both Kris and James remained friends for the sake of their son, Bimby.

Kris Aquino on 2011 MMFF controversy

I don’t understand why people criticized Kris Aquino for being very vocal with her wishes about her movie to be No. 2 in the ranking and Dingdong Dantes to win the Best Actor award. Apart from being a sister of President Noynoy Aquino, she’s a showbiz personality entitled to express her ideas, views, opinions and even wishes to the public without us giving any malice on it. Let us not mix politics with showbiz, if we can (that’s what we call maturity).

If other personalities questioned that Kris’s wish for Dingdong came true, it is tantamount to saying that they don’t trust and respect the decision of the institution handling the MMFF. Are they also questioning why they won the awards for their movie? Artists involved in the recent festival did have their own wishes. Even Ms. Ai-Ai delas Alas vocally said that she wished for the Best Actress award. If she won the award, will others still question that? 

Let us not deprive Kris of what she’s entitled to as a showbiz personality, as sister of President Aquino and as an individual. I did like how Dingdong handled the issue by saying he respect the institution who gave him the award. End of story.

I just happened to see the interview of Tito Boy Abunda to one of my favorite stars KC Concepcionon on "The Buzz." It was all about KC, Piolo Pascual and their ever controversial relationship. My heart melted as I saw KC crying as she tried to answers the questions of Tito Boy. It’s really hard to speak matters of the heart in front of national TV and for that I admired her. Nobody knows the deep pain KC had but seeing those tears I know some girls in a relationship out there can relate how painful it is to be in that situation.

In a relationship, parties must understand that it’s a give and take turns in terms of everything: love, respect, understanding, support and forgiveness. It is hard that there’s only one among the two who always give and never receive anything, with that you will start questioning is it right? Does he or she sincerely love me? Is it still working for both of us? Or end it despite the pain?

KC, I know you are a strong and intelligent woman. There is nothing wrong in loving and fighting for the person we love but it entails pain. At some point we just really need to think if working out the relationship worth it or giving an end will do more good despite the pain. I pray that you find the true love you wished for and always remember that you are blessed with a loving family especially your mom. Ms. Sharon Cuneta. Girlfriend of slain Ramgen Revilla, Janelle Manahan, will undergo surgery on Monday for her facial fractures after surviving a gunshot wound to the face. She was very emotional upon learning about his boyfriend’s death and even nose bled after hearing the sad news.

Also, Ramona Revilla left for Hongkong but eventually will go to Turkey where her husband lives. Senator Bong Revilla made an appeal to Ramona’s mother, Genelyn Magsaysay, to bring her daughter back to the country and face the investigation about the killing.

Mario Maurer in the Philippines

MARIO MAURER, the Thai heartthrob who took Asia by storm by his movies “The Love of Siam” and “Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” has inked a one-movie project with Star Cinema. He is being paired with Maria la del Barrio star Erich Gonzales in the said movie project with a working title “Suddenly It’s Magic.” Maurer signed a one-movie contract with Star Cinema on Wednesday. He also revealed that the film is going to be shot in Thailand and the Philippines and that it is slated to be shown in 2012.He is looking forward to meet Erich Gonzales, his upcoming leading lady in the movie, very soon.

The Thai actor arrived in Manila on Wednesday to shoot an ad campaign for Penshoppe. Tomorrow, October 28, he will be at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) for his fan conference and on October 29, he is set to headline the Philippine Fashion Week at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

The child abuse issue on Willie Revillame regarding the March 12 episode of “Willing Willie” keeps on heating up as Willie and top officials of TV5 have been sued for child abuse by rights advocates. Yesterday, Monday, six people including officials of the End Child Prostitution, Child Pornography and Trafficking of Children for Sexual Purposes (ECPAT), filed the complaint with the Quezon City Fiscal’s Office on Monday.

We were at Splash Island when my niece Abby told me that a certain AJ Perez who’s an ABS-CBN artist died according to a text from her friend. It was on the following day, Monday, which I got to know the accident according to news from his network. I am shocked! Such a young boy from the teleserye “Sabel” lost his life from a tragic car accident.

AJ’s mother just watched “Bottomline” of Boy Abunda on a Saturday night where Fatima Soriano as guest. Fatima’s story was still fresh on her memory and decided to donate her son’s cornea to Fatima. All is just waiting for Fatima’s doctor advice before they proceed with the transplant.

I know how deep the pain is that all of a sudden a loved one of yours will no more around in an instant. That’s how my father left us just last June 2010. After a massive stroke in the morning of June 7, he left us in 2 am of June 10. To AJ’s family, my condolences and may you find the courage and strength with all the people around you and the people who love AJ.

After several major advertisers pullout their advertisements on Willie Revillame’s “Willing Willie” being aired over TV5, and criticisms from his co-celebrities like Jim Paredes, Agot Isidro, Mylene Dizon, Bianca Gonzales, Tuesday Vargas, Aiza Seguerra and Lea Salonga, it’s now husband of Megastar Sharon Cuneta, Senator Kiko Pangilinan, who called Revillame as “unrepentant, arrogant and incorrigible.” The senator made such statement after Revillame considers of filing libel cases against his fellow celebrities who criticized him. As for Senator Pangilinan for the possibility of being included in the libel case, he quipped: “Sue me, too.”

Joshua graduated with Kris Aquino minus Phillip Salvador

Son of Kris Aquino to Phillip Salvador, Joshua, graduated last March 20. Phillip was not able to attend because he was not invited by the actress and felt bad according to reports. The actress answered the issue during a press conference for her 5th album, “My Heart’s Journey” under Universal Records, saying she stood as a single parent to Josh ever since financially, physically, psychologically and emotionally. She said that it was a day for her family who is with his son daily and added that Josh is not asking her about his real father. She even thanked her president brother for giving his son the male figure he needed.

I have seen the movie teaser of “Catch Me.. I’m Falling” of Gerald Anderson and Sarah Geronimo and I expect this will be a hit. This highly anticipated Viva Films and Star Cinema movie is scheduled on March 23 and moviegoers will have a taste again of a love story with a mixture of romance, joy and sadness. “Fallin” is the theme song of the movie and Sarah interpreted the song and the music video was shot in Manila Flower Center.
