Reynato Puno declined to be justice secretary

President-apparent Noynoy Aquino offers retired Supreme Court Justice Reynato Puno to join his cabinet as justice secretary. Puno after almost two decades of serving in the Supreme Court just retired last May 17 thus paving the way for President Gloria Arroyo to appoint a new one. Although Puno declined the seat of justice secretary he likewise offered to be Noynoy’s legal consultant instead.
