Senator Roxas files electoral protest
The running mate of President Noynoy Aquino, Senator Mar Roxas, officially filed his electoral protest today, Friday. In the petition, Senator Roxas questions the results of the May 2010 vice-presidential election. He asked the Supreme Court (SC) acting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal to consider the uncounted null votes of more than 2 million. Votes totaling to 727,084 is the lead of VP Jejomar Binay over Senator Roxas as compared to the number of null votes that could make a difference on the results depending on the automated election rules to be applied.
