Goodbye Beijing, Hello London Olympics

August 24 was the closing celebration of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. The closing ceremony was as amazing and spectacular as the opening ceremony featuring the heavenly drums, silver bell dancers, light wheels and flying men on the center stage as guests flanked in the National Stadium. The night’s performances were filled with China’s ethnic minority cultures and various modern elements.

On the other part of the world, about 40,000 flag-waving people filled the front of Buckingham Palace in London for a party to celebrate the official handover of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games to London where the 2012 Olympics will be held.
