DOT: Wow Philippines or Pilipinas kay Ganda

The Department of Tourism (DOT) is changing the catchphrase from “Wow Philippines” to “Pilipinas kay Ganda” but that’s temporary until the final and right catchphrase has been decided. It is one of the debatable issues right now as to why change it and why such a name. In your opinion what would it be: Wow Philippines, Pilipinas kay Ganda or other believable catchphrase?

Which is better, ‘Wow Philippines’ or ‘Pilipinas Kay Ganda’?

ShaWillie: Shalani Soledad + Willie Revillame

I was able to watch “Willing Willie” after hearing that Pres. Noynoy Aquino’s ex-girlfriend Shalani Soledad was Willie Revillame’s co-host in the said game show. She was indeed very firm and a true Filipina in words and action. I also commend the games in the show, truly fun and entertaining.

But I think Willie is still better off with his game show at ABS-CBN. The later indeed has a broad network here and abroad that reaches millions of Filipinos that really looking for Philippine entertainment and help as well. I saw when Wowowee hold several show abroad and how Filipinos welcome them. Shalani plus Willie plus ABS-CBN, why not? Go, Go, Go, ShaWillie!!!

Migrante International: Tanggol Migrante Online Complaint Form

An Alliance of Filipino migrant groups, Migrante International, launched a new tool for distressed OFWs to air their complaints. The groups launched last Tuesday its “TANGGOL MIGRANTE ONLINE COMPLAINT FORM” that can be accessed online through http://migranteinternational.org.

This move I think will give our beloved OFWs a way to connect and ask for help the easier way. It’s known that many OFWs are maltreated abroad and more often our embassy has no idea about it and cannot extend help immediately.

Undas 2010 @ North Cemetery

♥This year’s Undas comes with a heavy heart especially to those like me who just recently lost a love one. My beloved father+ died last June 10, 2010. I can’t explain how I feel and I can’t withstand looking at my father’s headstone, it’s so excruciating.

The family went at North Cemetery on October 31 but cleaning and repainting were done on the 29th. We just both additional 3 arrangements of flowers and stayed till past 6pm. Going to my father’s resting place is one way to cope up with the pain and slowly accepting his absence. It is still hard because I am his only daughter who lived far from him after my marriage but I am the one he spent his last days laughing, planning and seriously talking.

I miss you so much Tatay! One of the simple, loving, responsible and fun-loving people I have known in my life. Wherever you are I want you to know that I am happy that God gave you as my father and still wanting you to be my father no matter how many lives God will give me.♥
