Cooking is one thing I really love to do for my family and myself as well. My passion to learn more recipes, local and foreign, is something that made me think of taking a culinary lesson. I love food and I love to eat. I don’t spend much on my clothing or jewelries and gadgets as well but when it comes to food I always crave for it.
When I am online I check on websites with recipes I had in mind and it is where I came across with Chef Duarte’s some simple and inexpensive summer recipes perfect for the family. Just by the look of her Sirloin with Homemade Steak Sauce and Cauliflower Puree made me hungry. Such a mouth-watering dish I am exploring right now. This one made me remember the time when hubby and I went to several steak restaurants on paydays to eat steak. LOL. That was really fun and stomach-filling trips of ours. By the way, aside from being a chef Ariane Duarte is a working mom too. I can tell how hard to be a career woman and a mom at the same time because I am like her way back several years ago. But what I understand best for a cooking mom is that she knows the spirit of budgeting even on her cooking. That is why even on Chef Ariane Duarte’s recipe videos you could notice that those are inexpensive beautifully garnished recipes. You Can See More Life Made Easy Videos Here.
If you are interested for Chef Ariane’s recipes check her at iVillage. Her videos are sponsored by Walmart and every bit of the ingredients can be bought at Walmart at reasonable prices.
Youth is the hope of the nation. In an attempt to break the Guinness World Records for the largest dance class in the world, around 7,770 Cebuano youths danced at the Cebu City Sports Center. ABS-CBN TV host and newscaster Korina Sanchez was one of the special guests at the event and the one who encouraged Dancesport Team Cebu City (DTCC) to give it a try. Currently, the record is being held by Budapest, Hungary and if lucky our Cebuanos will break the record.
In this regard, Cebu can be declared as the “Dance Capital in the Philippines” and if lucky the “Dance Capital of the World.”
Good luck Cebuanos!!!
Kobe first visited the Philippines among the countries in line for his tour and he was very happy to see how Filipinos love basketball. He also expressed his admiration to Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao as his favorite boxer and favored him over his opponent Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto on November 14 in Las Vegas.
Do you remember Sandara Park? The Korean girl who became the runner up in a reality talent search Star Circle Quest. She left the Philippines and went back to her country to start her career.
Finally, last March 26 Sandara Park became part of YG Entertainment new girl group and was launched in an LG cellphone commercial. She was really anonymous then when she came in the Philippines but became popular and well-loved by the masses after her exposure on the reality talent search. When I saw her video on TV, I was happy to hear her singing “In or Out” which she did for Star Records when she was still in the Philippines.
Click here to see the video of her commercial. Congrats Sandara!!!
Eddie “Among Ed” Panlilio, a Roman Catholic priest and the incumbent governor of the province of Pampanga, confirmed his plan of running for the presidency on the May 2010 election. The late news featured his confirmation and rumor on who will be his running mate is the next in question. The present Isabela Governor Ma. Gracia Cielo “Grace” Padaca is the first name that came out. Among Ed is ready to file a dispensation before the church once he files his certificate of candidacy.
Not all members of the church who opted to give up priesthood and enter politics really succeeded religiously on their objectives. Haiti President Jean-Bertrand Aristide, a priest elected to the presidency in 1990. He gave up priesthood in 1994, but was ousted from the presidency due to allegations of corruption. Fernando Lugo, who was elected president in Paraguay last year, was hounded by rumors that he had three wives and three children.
Personally, I would prefer Among Ed to hold position in Pampanga rather than to run for the presidency because we also need good and trusted politicians to rule the localities of the country. I am still hoping that he will change his mind about the issue and never listen to the people who are pushing him on something that is really far behind his capabilities.

While doing my online stuff, I simultaneously watching the late news and it reported a video showing Michael Jackson during the 1984 Pepsi commercial accident. The King of Pop is having a rehearsal at the Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium on January 27. It was on the sixth take that the explosions went off early causing MJ’s hair on fire. He was not able to notice it at first and continue dancing until the people on stage tried to reach him and got off the flame.
It has been alleged that MJ’s addiction to painkillers and obsession with plastic surgery started after that horrible incident. He underwent multiple surgeries and needs to take several medications for that and for the pain as well.

Thank you NTC and thank you very much Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile! Last July 10, NTC signed the new rules on prepaid load extension purchased by consumers. It started when the good senator realized that he lost his load overnight without using it. His provider investigated it and it came out that he subscribed for a ring tone. For the senator, that’s impossible because he even not used his cellphone for texting, only calls. Below are the details of the signed rules:
The validity of a P10-or-less load credit is valid for up to three days; up to seven days for P10-20 load; up to 10 days for P20-30 load; up to 14 days for P30-40 load; up to 17 days for P40-P50 load; 20 days for P50-60 load; up to 24 days for P60-70 load; up to 21 days for P70-80 load; up to 30 days for P80-90 load; up to 45 days for P100-150 load; up to 60 days for P150-200 load; up to 90 days for P200-300 load; up to 150 days for P300-600 load; and up to 180 days for P600 to P1,000 load.
I just hope that our government can do mitigate too on the concerns of the consuming public on petroleum products and medicines.

Have you seen a short film that touches your heart and open your minds to the real world? Such a short one indeed that will make you asks yourself “Why?”
February 2006 during the 56th Berlin International Film Festival, filmmakers were invited for a short film competition with a theme of “Food, Taste and Hunger.” There were 3,600 filmmakers who submitted their entries and only 32 of them were fortunate to have their films screened at the Berlinale Talent Campus. This particular short film topped the competition after being adjudged as the “Most Popular Short Film.”
Chicken A La Carte made by a certain Ferdinand Dimadura is among the other short films reflecting the poverty and hardships of children and families around the world. It’s worth watching and best serve as an eye opener especially for Filipinos. My husband told me about this video and the family watched it yesterday night. We wanted to show to our kids how lucky they are for what they have now as compared to kids on the film. But of course as a mother and as a Filipino, that must be ended and great changes must happen.
This coming May 2010 election let change come to the Philippines. Change not only for our self and family but to the Philippines as a country. Vote for leaders we think will bring about the good and great changes to our lives and not allow leaders to come in power who are nothing but selfish and heartless ones. Vote wisely and never let happen to ask ourselves again “Why?”

Love knows no boundaries. It could blossom between two people different in physical appearance or status in life like them. Ruffa is already a mother while John Lloyd is one of the most loved and sought bachelors in town. Only Ruffa and John Lloyd knew the real status of their relationship and if there is really LOVE for each other, let’s just respect it and wish them the best of luck.

To our beloved former president, I hope and pray for nothing but the best. You lived a colorful and meaningful life. You gave and sacrifice a lot for the country. At this point of your life, I know you are still thinking and wishing for a healing not for yourself but for our beloved country.

I know many things have been said and blogged about the King of Pop Michael Jackson after the news about his death broke out. The world is in deep sorrow and grief after knowing the sudden death of this legendary icon in the field of entertainment. The media has been very busy covering the latest events surrounding the death and commemoration of MJ. Here in the Philippines, MJ fans are truly devastated with his sudden death.
More than his songs, what I admired from MJ most is the unique soft voice he has and for me a true total performer. Behind being one of the famous and well-loved artists in the world plus the several controversies he got involved is an empty person victimized by his past and the world’s admiration. But MJ is truly a performer that he can set aside the misery of his life when he starts to perform.
Concert promoters AEG Live for MJ concert in London just released the video showing how MJ vigorously practicing his song and dance routine last June 23 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The promoter is giving a full ticket refund but if I got a ticket for the said concert I guess I will choose to keep it. That will be a great souvenir from one of the world’s true performer.
I am familiar with the plant coz I used it when I make a “chicken turbo” for the family. Somebody even told me that I can put lemon grass into “chicken tinola” instead of ginger but I haven’t tried this one so far. But I never knew that the “Lemon Grass Tea” could cause cancer cells to commit suicide, as in self-destruction. This one is truly good news for everyone, sick or not. As we say prevention is better than cure. I think I’m gonna try to make a Lemon Grass Tea for my family.
I can’t post the exact content of the email because it is quite too long but here is the similar thread from the Associated Content. Check it out. Be aware and stay healthy.
