Thousands of protesters gathered to join church leaders from various sectors in an inter-faith rally to support ZTE national broadband deal whistle-blower Rodolfo Noel Lozada Jr. and call for Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's resignation held at the heart of the central business district of Makati City, south of Manila on Friday 29 February 2008. Thank God that despite the overwhelming support of protesters from different groups and sectors the rally went smoothly, orderly and ended peacefully at 8:45pm. This is just part of the series of protests done and to be made by people who call for the resignation of PGMA.
There is still an ongoing investigation on the Philippine Senate regarding this scandal-tainted broadband deal with the appearance of the new witness Dante Madriaga who directly links the First Couple in the anomalous broadband deal with ZTE.
