I never got to watch the pilot episode of ever controversial Willie Revillame’s new show at TV5 “Willing Willie” and even an episode thereafter. I searched the net for the news about the show and learned that it airs Mondays-Fridays @ 6:30pm and 5:00pm on Saturdays. Learned also that it was hot and hit the biggest audience share on the first day.

YouTube paved the way for 26-year-old singer and song writer MELISSA POLINAR of South San Francisco, California to pursue her dreams in the world of music. Polinar nearly became a nurse but realized that music is really her passion after landing a job at the age of 18 as a song writer for the WARNER CHAPPELL.

After a road accident, JAMIE MERRETT was paralyzed from the neck down. Now that after a Filipina nurse VIOLETTA AYLWARD accidentally turned off Merrett’s ventilator, he suffered brain damage. This is a big bad blow on the Philippine nursing community and hoping that Filipino nurses here and abroad will able to cope up.

David Foster & Friends Live in Manila

Araneta Coliseum was flanked by more than 10,000 fans during the highly successful “DAVID FOSTER & FRIENDS LIVE IN MANILA” concert last Saturday. Charice wowed the crowd with her versions of “Power of Love,” “To Love You More,” “All By Myself,” “Pyramid” and “The Bodyguard.” She also performed with Natalie Cole, the Canadian Tenors, Peter Cetera and Ruben Studdard. The group rendered their final production number to honor Michael Jackson.

A Day of Celebration

 

Hubby and I celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary last October 24 with the kids. First, we attended the 10 a.m. mass at ST. PETER’S CHURCH in Commonwealth, Quezon City. After that we went to SM Marikina to dine, shop and have fun. It’s almost lunch time so we went to THE OLD SPAGHETTI HOUSE where for sure kids will love too because they like pasta. After eating we dropped by at SM Department Store to buy a backpack for Ate Nicole and a functional bag for papa. We bought a HAWK BAG for Ate and a CASE LOGIC one for Papa.

While at the ground level we saw this Magician’s Festival Show with The Story Circle free of admission. We sat for some time and watched the first 2 performers. Before the show starts, kids got to try this BUNGEE FUN for 120 pesos for 3 minute exposure. We left before 4 p.m. to proceed at BATTLE STRIKERS booth for the kids’ elimination. It must be their lucky day because the 2 of them got qualified to join the grand finals on October 30 at the SM MALL OF ASIA. Our last stop is at BREAD TALK selling different pieces of bread and every piece looks yummy.

Family decided to have dinner somewhere else so we pick the place near home. At MONTALBAN TOWN CENTER, there’s this family favorite SLICE N’ DICE. Thank God I don’t need to cook at home coz I am really so tired shopping and walking.

Our wedding anniversary celebration is so memorable coz we did a lot of things and enjoy the day with each other. We’re all looking forward on the next family’s day out. We all easily fell asleep after minutes of being home. Click here for the complete pictures.

My 12th year wedding anniversary

 

Hubby and I will be celebrating our 12th year wedding anniversary tomorrow, October 24. Time flies so fast and after 12 long years of togetherness I could say that I thank God so much for giving me a wonderful partner. Not all times were good times but no matter what happened I know he will be there for me: to understand, support and love.

Tomorrow will be a busy day for the family as we are planning to go to SM Marikina to do some shopping after we attend a mass at St. Peter in the morning. Then maybe have the family lunch at Burgoo and buy some snacks at Bread Talk.

Hmmm! Can’t wait for such a day out. Happy anniversary Papa! Love.. Love.. Love.. ♥♥♥♥

The group CHOREO COOKIES from Encinitas with many Filipino members won the trophy in the recently concluded ENKORE dance competition. It was held last October 16 at the Long Beach Convention Center where 4 Southern California dance teams competed. Congratulations CC!

My 2 kids just missed a magical birthday party of Princess Sophia last October 17 at Diamond Hotel’s Diamond Ballroom. Something came out and it saddens me not able to come to attend the party and see old friends too. Princess Sophia who just celebrated her 1st birthday is the daughter of a college friend Shiela. Sarah wins Brand's Asia Pacific Sudoku Challenge 2010

A 4th year student from Pangasinan Universal Institute in Dagupan City wowed judges and spectators at Suntec City Mall when she finished the final Sudoku puzzle ahead of 50 professionals and students from Singapore, China, Thailand, Indonesia, India and Malaysia. Sarah Jane Cua won 10,000 Singapore dollars (about 332,643 pesos) in the recently concluded Brand’s Asia Pacific Sudoku Challenge held in Singapore. Indeed another Philippine pride. Congratulations Sarah!

Charice @ David Foster & Friends in Mandalay Bay

In “One and Only Hit-Man David Foster and Friends” concert held in Mandalay Bay Events Center last October 15, Charice wowed her fans in 2 show-stopping performances. She sang a group tribute song to Michael Jackon as well as two other songs "To Love You More" and "All by Myself,” which were both popularized by Celine Dion. I saw the TV report on this concert and Charice was indeed fabulous.

Did PNoy and Shalani Soledad called it quits? Rumors spread that the president and the Valenzuela councilor already broke up adding up the recent Saturday night date of the president at the Nuvo bar and restaurant in Greenbelt2. Personally, I find Shalani nice and really had a natural beauty without make up. She seems to be supportive even the tough times of the campaign prior to the 2010 Elections but now the relationship is said ended. This seems to be sad news for those who like PNoy and Shalani as couple.

2010 Family Feast Day @ Virgen del Pilar

Today is the Family Feast Day at Justin’s school, Virgen del Pilar. There were indeed more students now 6 years ago when my eldest Nicole entered her Nursery in this school, about 300 plus students only. Now I learned that they have more than 1,000 students and they are offering till 4th year level. The feast day was jam-packed with students and parents that started with a motorcade, then the Holy Mass and the raffle.

My son forgot to tell me that he’s gonna be reading one of the prayers of the faithful. I already learned about it when we arrived and his teacher told me. But with God’s grace he was able to do his task. During the raffle time, there were intermission numbers by students from Nursery to 4th yr. HS. It’s fun to watch the kids as they perform different numbers especially the pre-school.

Looking forward for next year’s Family Feast Day.

Toni Gonzaga, KC Concepcion & Mariel Rodriguez controversies

I was able to watch part of “THE BUZZ” today (October 3) and I saw the 4 hosts tackling the issues about Toni Gonzaga, KC Concepcion and Mariel Rodriguez. KC told that there were people telling her about Mariel saying why she was able to have her show “Simply KC.” On the other hand, I think the issue between Toni and Mariel was that the later was accused of saying that Toni copy her hosting style.

KC was puzzled and if I may say that she believed there is truth about the issue because there were different people who told her the same fact. In the case of Toni, what’s happening right now gave her a big lesson to learn. If there might be a confrontation both are afraid if Mariel will be brave enough to tell the truth of her doings.
