Miss Earth 2011 & Miss Philippines Earth 2011

The 11th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, Miss Earth 2011, is scheduled on November 19, 2011 at the exotic city of Pattaya in Thailand. After last year’s pageant held in Nha Trang, Vietnam, this is the second consecutive year that it’s held outside the Philippines. On 2012, the pageant will return in Vietnam.

Update on Miss Phillippines Earth 2011: Jonavi Raisa Quiray from Puerto Princesa won the coveted Best in Swimsuit Award. A title holder, Mutya ng Pilipinas 2008, her experience makes her a fierce competitor in the 2011 Miss Philippines Earth pageant. Special award winners during the swimsuit competition are Michelle Gavagan (Miss Golden Sunset) and Murielle Adrienne Orais (Miss Gandang Ricky Reyes).

9 or 10 candidates will be eliminated this Saturday in Calapan, Mindoro as the competition heats up. The coronation night of Miss Philippines Earth 2011 will be held in Puerto Princesa on June 5, 2011.
