Chavit Singson as Deputy National Security Adviser

After his absence from the political scene, the former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson is back in the limelight. Back in the corridors of power, the party-quarrel between President GMA and him due to the controversial pardon of former President Estrada maybe considered settled when he named as the Deputy National Security Adviser. Why Singson? It is a question raised by many politicians and maybe for Filipino people who are longing for this much awaited peace especially in Mindanao. Could he be able to deliver “peace” in the land?

I have been in question on why some former military men like Sec. Angelo Reyes, to name some, are being given appointments on positions irrelevant of their qualifications? Are all these “political accommodations” for a good deed done before? I think a decent, reliable and trusted uniformed man is more deserving for the position of Security Adviser but sorry I go NOT for Singson.
