Binagoongang Baboy Recipe (Pork in Shrimp Paste)


Ingredients:
  • 1 kilo pork kasim, medium-sized cubed
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 2 tablespoons finely minced garlic
  • 2 pieces long green sili, sliced diagonally
  • 1 piece onion
  • ½ cup Balsamic vinegar
  • ½ cup Bagoong fish paste
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • 1-1/2 cups pork broth
  • Fish sauce to taste
  • Water

Cooking procedures:

Boil pork kasim in water for 20-30 minutes or until meat is tender. Remove pork and set aside. Saute garlic, onion and green sili. Add pork and few of fish sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes. Add broth, vinegar, fish paste and sugar and bring to a boil for another 5 minutes. Serve hot with rice.

Hey Crissy,

I am so impressed at how quickly you can dish out articles. Imagine 18 for Sept and it has only been 5 days! Whew! heheeeh You truly are a blog master :)

My mom tried your your recipe and she loved it. Heheh is there a seafood or vegan version that I can try??? I love vegan meals especially since My doc has advised me to stay off the meat. :)
